a human. for now.

Talentless | about that corpse

Man, I was so jealous of those eyes. So blue and empty. I looked in employee three’s eyes for awhile, and I’m certain no one looked back. I waited, but no one came to the window. It was like that with dead people so I’ve heard.
I travelled a lot before I got here. All around the south of my state. In all those years of traveling I never touched death. Not a human death which, as we all know, is the most significant. Sure I’m responsible for my share of roadkill. Who’s not? But those lives they’re meaningless. Right? They don’t carry the weight of a human life. You would have to be a special kind of person to think that. I’m not a special kind of person. I marvel at the eyes on a corpse.
